Transit Tech is very fortunate. We now have two subway cars in our rail car lab. These cars will give our students hands on experiences which they will be able to take directly to the work place. Transit Tech received another high B on our most recent Progress Report. We are very happy with the progress that we are making in spite of the new economic challenges that we are facing. Did you know that Transit Tech. has a school newspaper? This paper is full of great articles as well as important dates. Ask your child to bring home a copy or stop by my office to pick one up yourself.

For the first time in school history Transit Tech has won back to back city championships in basketball. Congratulations to coach Perazzo and to the entire team

Freshmen intensive tutoring begins this Saturday 4/12/08 from 9am until 1pm. Research shows that students achieving 10 or more credits in their first year as ninth graders are much more likely to graduate in four years. Take advantage of this excellent, free program.

Once again Transit Tech is being recognized as a school in good standing. This means that we have made adequate progress in all subject areas and in our graduation rates. This was true across all ethnic, economic and gender lines.

I want to assure you that Transit Tech. High School will do everything possible to minimize the inpact of the recent budget cuts. With your help we will make sure that our student's receive every opportunity that they so richly deserve.
